I am Javier Laserna Moratalla, a predoctoral researcher in the Intelligent Control Group at the Center for Automation and Robotics (CAR) of the Technical University of Madrid (UPM). With a strong academic background, I earned my degree in Industrial Electronics and Automation Engineering in 2020 and my master’s in Industrial Electronics in 2022, both from UPM. During my studies, I focused on advancing the state of the art in solving complex problems, such as the maximum clique problem, and implementing advanced technological solutions in pattern recognition and robotics applications.
In my professional journey, I have worked as a Site Reliability Engineer at renowned companies like IBM and Kyndryl, where I acquired valuable skills in software development and development tools. Currently, thanks to an FPI scholarship, I am dedicated exclusively to research and teaching. I am pursuing a PhD in Automation and Robotics at UPM, and I am involved in the ACOGES project, focusing on the design and development of a social robotic platform and the creation of exact algorithms for solving NP-complete combinatorial problems. My work has led to publications and presentations at international conferences, showcasing my dedication to the fields of robotics and artificial intelligence.
